One of Abu Dhabi's latest commercial centers is the Carrefour Hypermarket. This was a fast track project, completed by ACC in just 12 months. The retail facility consists of a 28,000 square metres developed area that includes basement and ground floor parking, two retail floors and a mechanical floor.

In order to offer the kind of large spans preferred for this type of retail outlet, post-tensioned slabs were used throughout the construction.
