Also completed by ACC is the 23 MIGD Mirfa desalination plant which serves the southern areas of the Abu Dhabi region. It is comprised of three Multi-Stage Flash (MSF) distillers, each with a capacity of 7.5 MIGD. The steam is provided by two boilers.

The scope of works for the 30,000 cubic metres of concrete project also included a 650 metre cable tunnel, a 2.5 kilometre long, 2.8 metre diameter discharge pipe, 65 metre diameter steel tanks, a seawater intake structure and an outfall structure.
