ACC undertook the structures and associated works for the total complex comprised of the Omayades Conference Palace and the adjacent Ebla El Cham Hotel. They are located just South of Damascus, on the airport road. The convention centre seats 2,500 delegates complete with audio visual aids, translation and press facilities. It has become a venue for major international conferences.

The luxurious five star hotel, the Ebla El Cham, was built adjacent to the convention centre. The Hotel has 500 bedrooms together with presidential suits, five conference rooms, a banquet room and a reception room. The facilities include swimming pools, gymnasium, tennis courts, stables and a golf course.

The rooms are arranged on open balconied circulation area overlooking a spacious atrium rising the full height of the building. The atrium area which includes the reception has a patterned marble floor with decorative fibrous plaster. The conference room and majlis are similarly decorated and furnished to the highest standard, the majlis reflecting a local flavor.
